Podcast 2017 Episode 30 – You Just Danned The Ending

This week it’s been a week of trials, time trials! World Championship Time Trials! We talk through what happened in Bergen with the Team Time Trial and then both the Junior and Elite Women’s Individual Time Trials. There are some spectacular results and the racing has been absolutely top notch. We talk through the start of Cyclocross season, and how the American races have gone thus far. There’s a bunch of other topics we get through quickly before taking a look ahead at the road race and the scenarios we’re hoping to see play out on the road. (1:17:41 MIN / 71.14 MB)

Podcast 2017 Episode 28 – More Direct and More Devious

This week we catch up after Sarah’s been away at the Boels Rental Ladies Tour in the Netherlands. There’s Plouay results to discuss, all the Dutch racing and of course what it means for worlds. Speaking of worlds, we’re two weeks out from the festivities in Bergen and so of course it’s time for the (sigh, eyeroll) polemica. This year it’s Australia’s turn to do something unforgivably stupid, and Dan’s got shoutpinions about it. (1:26:22 MIN / 79.08 MB)

Podcast 2016 Episode 33 – Sarah Is Not Allowed On Mountain Bikes

Podcast logoThis week we talk about all of the worlds time-trialling in Doha. The heat in Qatar showed up in full force and played havoc with the Team Time Trial. There was plenty of riders suffering from heatstroke and heat related stress which was deeply concerning. We also talk about how this impacted on the results. There’s the Junior and Elite women’s Individual Time Trials to discuss as well, with some interesting and surprising results there. Although fortunately with less dramatic heat. We catch up on the latest cyclocross and mountainbike news and round the episode out with a bit of gossip. (1:23:00 MIN / 75.99 MB)

Podcast 2016 Episode 31 – Melbourne’s Name is Mud

Podcast logoThis week we take a deep breath as Qatar’s World Championships is just around the corner. We’ve got a few races to talk about in the Giro dell’Emilia and Gran Premio Bruno Beghelli. There’s also been the latest US leg of the Cyclocross World Cups and in classic fashion we manage to find heaps of controversy to discuss along the way. This includes everything from the latest UCI publicity around the Women’s World Tour, the TTT event in Qatar, TUEs, hacking and more. Dan also potentially manages to offend entire states in both Australia and the US. Just another week on the podcast! (1:14:13 MIN / 67.95 MB)

Podcast 2014 Episode 43 – All Your Worldly Goods

Podcast logoHey team, what a huge week it’s been. Sarah and Dan are both on a bit of a comedown following all the action of worlds and, of course, the fact that there was some post-race polemica stuff. So, just to be fair, here’s a WARNING: This podcast may contain traces of rants (Sarah limits Dan to a maximum 5 minute rant, but he performs well in his race of truth, beating the clock with time to spare!). BUT we mostly talk about the Junior and Elite Women’s World Championship road races and a whole bunch of cool blogs, stories, videos and also the BMX Supercross World Cup at Chula Vista. Sarah also finally finds the ultimate justification for her default position of wanting everyone to win all the time. (1:15:34 MIN / 72.56 MB)

Podcast 2014 Episode 41 – WoW Part Two!

Podcast logoIt’s been a week of worldly indulgences and this week’s podcast is no exception, hell we’re barely a minute into things before Dan’s invoking our theoretical lawyers and claiming indemnities! Anyway, this week we recap the women’s trade team TTT, the junior women’s ITT, the Elite women’s ITT (where Dan rather belligerently changed the results and history to suit his preferred view of the race – also Sarah sounds her “Smugness Alert”) AND we preview the Road Race! Also there’s some complicated polemica-y stuff which is important but hard to talk about, so of course we discuss that. We also talk about how sometimes these harder stories don’t get reported much in the press, possibly because they’re so complex and there’s a lot of stuff you can’t explain easily or quickly. On top of all of that we have the latest transfer news and the week wouldn’t possibly be complete without a bonus survey, so we’ve put that in too! (1:17:42 MIN / 74.6 MB)
