Hi team, so far at worlds in Richmond it’s been Time Trials. Team ones, Junior Women’s ones, Elite Women’s ones, trying to un-geoblock UCI video ones. So we talk about all that and a bunch of other hilarity as well (this may be a code for Dan swears a lot as we discuss socks in Vegas and all the ways in which they just don’t work)! Anyway, it’s a great episode with lots of things to be excited about and celebrate. (1:15:22 MIN / 72.37 MB)

Race highlights – and here’s the full race replay on the UCI Youtube
Great photo gallery from Balint Hamvas and on the race site; more photos on CX Magazine, and their video interviews with Eva Lechner and Sanne Cant; full results and some more great stuff from In The CrossHairs – video interview with Katerina Nash, their CrossVegas radio show with Georgia Gould and their video scrapbook.
Other things we talked about this week
We thought the women’s 2015 Team Time Trial at the 2015 Road Cycling World Championships would be the most unpredictable TTT Worlds yet, and wow, it was even better – excitement all the way to the end. So if you missed it, you might be kicking yourself…. but that’s OK, I’m here to help with videos, results, photos, rider reactions and more!
First, the UCI highlights
And the full race replay, commentated by Rochelle Gilmore and Ant McCrossan.
Hi team! There’s been heaps of racing to cover in the last week, so we recap the action in France, Belgium/Netherlands and Germany. It’s been a week of highs and lows with all sorts of interesting results. There are some pretty hectic diversions in this week’s episode (when are there not?) and a reasonable amount of speculation about what may happen on Sunday at La Course. Enjoy! Here’s the article with Rochelle Gilmore about the development of Mayuko Hagiwara that Dan was talking about.
Also, some video from the BeNe tour is here.
It’s been an incredible week of racing at the Giro Rosa with so many riders from different teams and countries winning stages and tearing up the road. There have been world firsts and there have been all kinds of tactics deployed on the road. It’s everything you could want in a truly Grand Tour, it’s been so good that Sarah even invented a new description! Some riders have been flying, some have cool scars (seriously). And the best is yet to come as we still have several stages that could seriously shake up the GC and potentially change the outcome of the race. Join us as we talk about it all. Things to read and watch:
Sarah’s been collating all the race video and cool social media, blog posts, etc that she can find. She’s also been doing interviews and QandAs with riders. Here’s the full list of all the news there is, stage by stage.
Also, here’s Sarah’s guide on how to follow the race (remember there’s some really exciting stages to come!).
It’s a huge show this week with racing from four continents to cover, so we cover it quickly. There’s also some interesting news and articles that we manage to squeeze in, along with all the swearing and joking you’ve come to love. We travel from Britain to the USofA to Luxembourg to the Netherlands to Australia to South Africa and probably some other places too! (1:17:57 MIN / 74.83 MB)

(DEEP breath, there was SO MUCH!)
Video – results and photos on the Lotto Cycling Cup site, and Velofocus gallery (we love the photo of the Velocio-SRAM riders cheering for the podium). Race reports from Velocio-SRAM and Wiggle Honda.
Results and photos on the race website – and race reports from Boels-Dolmans, and on Lauren Kitchen’s site.
Kitchen’s great weekend continued in the crits…
Hey team, it’s only fair that we warn you straight up this week might be one of our best episodes ever (especially with the epic troll Sarah pulls on Dan about two-thirds of the way through). Sarah’s just got back from volunteering at the Energiewacht Tour (or possibly from Technically Germany, though Dan’s suspicious that it’s not a real place) and there’s so much to talk about. Sarah’s sleep deprived and Dan’s coffee deprived. Somehow we manage to discuss the race in detail and laugh maniacally along the way. It’s probably the fault of the seals. We also quickly recap Redlands and some other stuff. (1:17:11 MIN / 74.1 MB)

I do love my traditions, and one of them is running an early season voting thread to see which of the women’s top-tier pro team kits people like best. This is what people thought last year, and I’ve just launched the 2015 peloton version here on Podium Café – click through and vote! UPDATE! And by popular demand, the voting post for the “best of the rest”! The posts are full of photos and videos of team launches and the kits in action, and the comments section has more kits people love (or don’t!) – but what if you want to wear some of the top tier 2015 women’s cycling team kits? Well, here’s the simple guide to what’s available and how to buy it. Obviously it’s not all the teams, but if more teams open shops, I’ll definitely let you know.
(Want to buy 2014 kits? I have posts about the Euro pro peloton, USA teams and UK kits)
No team shop yet, but if you want this kit, they say it’ll be available soon – maybe sign up to their newsletter so you’ll see as soon as it’s up.
They’re a UCI team for the the first time this year, and while their first batch of pre-order kits have already sold out, they’ll be re-opening the ordering in March. If you want a closer look, check out the jersey and bibshorts on Milltag.
