Podcast 2013 Episode 30 – That Was Absurd!

Podcast logoThis week’s episode is named in honour of the first thing I said to Sarah as soon as we stopped recording. This week’s podcast was absurd people! LOTS of digressions (some of them are even funny) and HEAPS of cool racing and cycling stuff. Sarah and I channel our inner French mime abilities (we suck at the silent bit) and talk about everything from cakes to beatings. We do also talk about actual bike racing with the Boels Rental Ladies Tour, the Tour de l’Ardeche, the Tour of the Murray and heaps more! As always, there are lots of videos and a round up of the week’s news with heaps of links for you below. Enjoy the absurdity! (1:11:41 MIN / 68.88 MB)

Podcast 2013 Episode 29 – Don’t Mention the Election

The-Unofficial,-Unsanctioned-Women's-UCI-Cycling-ShowHi everyone! This week Dan’s depressed about the forthcoming Aussie election so Sarah cheers him up with all the latest news around Plouay, Boels Ladies Tour, the World MTB championships and a whole heap of other racing excitement. And Sarah talks a lot about knickers! (but it’s sort of related to cycling, really). We also discuss Sarah’s “opinions” about national federations and the UCI and Dan nominates Sarah for a new job at the UCI. For all the fun and madcappery (plus the curious sort of road-accident-can’t-look-away-ish-ness of Dan being so despondent) listen along below! (1:19:54 MIN / 76.71 MB)

Podcast 2013 – Episode 26 – Mummy and Daddy Are Fighting

Podcast logoHi everyone! This week Sarah and I catch up on the Route de France, Junior Track Worlds in Glasgow and the Mont Sainte-Anne MTB World Cup races. I find out Sarah’s been seeing other podcasts behind my back and we argue about the podcast pre-nup. This may result in lawyers at 20 paces before it’s all said and done (depending on who can afford the best/most lawyers). We also talk about a whole bunch of interesting and cool things, from the SBS Cycling Central episode on women’s cycling through to the latest in transfer and stagiaire news. It’s another cracking episode with something for everyone. (1:28:53 MIN / 85.33 MB)

Podcast 2013 Episode 15 – All Riled Up

Podcast logoHoly fuck kittens/puppies/polar bear cubs, what a week in women’s cycling! It’s been totally fucking crazy. I mean really crazy, and it’s kind of got to Sarah and me this week. You can tell because we really do get all riled up. Languedoc Rousillon needs a good hard ranting, so we kick off with that. Then we rant California styles. Dan launches a new UCI ranked race for May 2014 and issues an open invite to anyone from the UCI to come on the podcast and tell him he’s wrong. After all that ranting we move into accentuating the positives and talk about a whole bunch of cool stuff. We especially want to mention Half The Road, the great documentary that Kathryn Bertine is putting together. Links down below, go donate now! We’ll wait for you to get back, promise. Now buckle yourselves in for some of the funniest ranting you’re likely to hear in the next hour and a bit. (1:15:21 MIN / 72.33 MB)

Podcast 2013 Episode 13 – Women’s Cycling Fans Are Better Than Normal People

The-Unofficial,-Unsanctioned-Women's-UCI-Cycling-ShowHello sinners! Welcome aboard for a slightly unusual week of podcasting fun and adventure. This week Sarah baits Dan mercilessly with accusations of Queenslandishness, we’ll leave it to you to decide if he doth protest too much. We also do a quick whip around the racing all over the world (there’s quite a bit of it). Dan gets excited about research reports (and possibly owes Daniel Benson an apology). There’s a bunch of other stuff, including a fair bit of laughing and a whole lot of swearing, so grab a beer, settle in and get ready to press play! (1:02:23 MIN / 59.88 MB)
