Podcast 2015 Episode 11 – Around the World in 9 Races

Podcast logoIt’s a huge show this week with racing from four continents to cover, so we cover it quickly. There’s also some interesting news and articles that we manage to squeeze in, along with all the swearing and joking you’ve come to love. We travel from Britain to the USofA to Luxembourg to the Netherlands to Australia to South Africa and probably some other places too! (1:17:57 MIN / 74.83 MB)

Podcast 2015 Episode 7 – Binda Wevelgem

Podcast logoThis week we’re talking Trofeo Binda, Gent-Wevelgem, Para-cycling and so much more. From the lack of rain in Italy to the vast outpouring of rain in Belgium, we cover all the details that matter and even some that don’t. We mention Valentina Scandolara’s run-in with a cycle-tourist as she was training around Cittiglio and we take a look ahead at the Ronde van Vlaanderen and Energiewacht Tour. Warning, may contain traces of rambling. (1:03:37 MIN / 67.08 MB).

Videos from the 2015 Trofeo Binda, Trofeo da Moreno and Gent-Wevelgem

So much racing this weekend!  I’m putting this up now, but I’ll update it with lots more videos and photo-essays over the week, because there will be so much more.

Trofeo da Moreno

First, the only UCI-ranked junior women’s race apart from Continental and World Championships, the Trofeo da Moreno, which is this fantastic race, on the same roads as the Trofeo Binda.  It’s super-tough, and last year was won by Amelie Dideriksen, who went on the become Junior Road World Champion.  Here’s just the finish-line video, and a clip from this year’s race:

UPDATE!  And a full half hour of Italian tv coverage

Here are the results…  and after that, the second round of the 2015 Road World Cup

Trofeo Alfredo Binda

There’s actually highlights on RAI Sport 2 right now (21:00 CEST/8pm BST) for about an hour and a half (missed it?  see below). There’ll be all kinds of clips this week, but here’s the finish-line only, Wiggle Honda’s pre-race video,  the first highlights and the UCI’s mini-highlights (thanks Dave Bartel for that one!)
