The climbing continues – videos & media from Stage 6, Giro Rosa 2016

Yesterday may have been the Queen Stage of the Giro Rosa, but Stage 6 was another day full of climbing, descending, and an uphill finish.

Such an exciting stage to “watch” on twitter (although super-frustrating, as a lot of the tweets seemed out-of-synch, so it was hard to work out which was the most recent updates) – and check out the profile:

Video recon on the race facebook (so pretty!)  – and Claudia Lichtenberg’s thoughts before the stage.  8 mins highlights video on the race facebook – and videos of Argentinian team Xirayas de San Luís on the Tour Femenino de San Luís Youtube.

Love that RAI showed the women’s highlights during the live broadcast of the men’s Tour de France stage, as once again, not much was happening there.  And it lead to this great moment:

1.   Evelyn Stevens (USA) Boels-Dolmans, 3:47:42
2.   Megan Guarnier (USA) Boels Dolmans, + 00:06
3.   Anna van der Breggen (Ned) Rabo-Liv, + 00:19
4.   Claudia Lichtenberg (Ger) Lotto-Soudal, + 00:40
5.   Mara Abbott (USA) Wiggle High5, + 00:53
6.   Tatiana Guderzo (Ita) Hitec Products, + 01:18
7.   Katarzyna Niewiadoma (Pol) Rabo-Liv, + 02:58
8.   Elena Cecchini (Ita) Canyon-SRAM, + 03:55
9.   Kseniya Tuhai (Blr) BePink, + 04:22
10. Alena Amialiusik (Blr) Canyon-SRAM, + 06:00

Tomorrow it’s the ITT – but don’t believe the race profile… Well, that’s generic Giro Rosa advice, but check the difference between what’s on the website:

and the twitterati’s!

Please do let me know, here in the comments or on twitter, if you find more media to share – and here’s my reminder of how to follow the race live.

Big thanks, as always, to my Patreon supporters, who fund me to do this kind of thing.
