With the 2016 Women’s World Tour starting on Saturday at the Strade Bianche, it’s a great time to show your support for your favourite women’s pro cycling teams – and luckily for us, we have two great places to buy kit from two of the biggest teams out there – Boels-Dolmans and Canyon-SRAM – UPDATE! and now you can buy the Liv-Plantur jersey too!
Boels have been the team of the 2016 Classics season so far, with Road World Champion Lizzie Armitstead winning the Omloop het Niewsblad and Evelyn Stevens setting a new Hour Record last Saturday, and Chantal Blaak taking her second Le Samyn des Dames win yesterday after coming second in OhN – and this is after Ellen van Dijk won Stage 3 of the Ladies Tour of Qatar, and she and Romy Kasper were on the final GC podium!
This year’s kit is more orange than last year’s, and if you’d like to look like all their stars, you can buy the team kit for women and men – and that’s just the beginning, their webshop is great, with everything from bidons and caps, socks and accessories to rainbow jerseys signed by Armitstead (OMG!). At the moment they’re only set up for payments in Euros, but international payments will be added next week – keep an eye on the Boels-Dolmans twitter for updates, & if you have any problems, they’re VERY friendly.
The brightly coloured Canyon-SRAM kit has been a hit since it was launched, only just missing out on winning the 2016 Best Women’s Kit by a couple of votes, and now we can pre-order the women’s short-sleeved jersey and bib-shorts from Rapha (men’s versions due out in 2017, apparently).
Liv-Plantur have been having a good start to the season too, with Leah Kirchmann coming 4th in Het Nieuwsblad and 2nd in Omloop van het Hageland, and while Prendas were already selling socks and caps on their shop, now you can buy the full kit too, including short- and long-sleeved jerseys (plus team-issue, winter, hot weather etc), bib-shorts, vests, jackets etc, and at relatively cheap prices too – click through to the Prendas Liv-Plantur & Giant-Alpecin pages (I think the LP kit is only for women, and the GA kit for men, but I bet Prendas would answer any questions on their super-friendly twitter)
As always, I’m sharing these because I love helping people find this kind of thing, I don’t profit at all from it. If you’d like to buy more 2016 women’s team kit, check out the links to the World Tour teams shops in this voting post, and to smaller team kits here. And of course, there are always more women’s cycling goodies to buy in the Shopping section of my site!
