Things we talked about this week

We’ll put up the rules for the 2016 Unofficial Unsanctioned Social Media Jersey later in the week – but here are the posts about the 2012 version.

We didn’t talk about this, but Sarah loved this:

 “Is it sexist?” week?

That cover of the 2016 Euskal Emakumeen Bira racebook – nb NOT the poster, and the real story about the race is that the final stage will be streamed live!  Follow the Emakumeen Bira twitter and website for more info closer to the time – check out Sarah’s guide to more road races we’ll be able to watch live this year.

The Xirayas de San Luis kit – we’re not linking to the myriad of “Is it SEXIST?” posts, because ugh.  We got this photo from the Vuelta Femenino de San Luis facebook – that race had the most fantastic media, check out their website, and all their great videos, with the focus on promoting South and Central American cycling teams. If you like it, you can vote for in the “best small team kit” voting post (aka the Best of the Rest) – and if not, vote for one of the other awesome kits there.

If you want a refresher on the 2014 IDRD-Bogotá Humana-San Mateo-Solgar kit media debacle (aka “naked Colombian kit” (rolling our eyes) here are Sarah’s favourite articles about that one.

Ugh, Road Cycling UK, why?

We love Cycling Meekly – you should definitely follow them.

Sarah forgot to include this, but yeah, we have ideas!  It was sad that last year the London Bike Show collaborated with BikeBiz to celebrate women in the British cycling industry, media and sport, too (Part 1 and Part 2)

British Cycling have tons of advice videos for cyclists on their YouTube on everything from bike fits, to changing a tyre, to race nerves, to exercises for cycling.  And Liv have a video on stretches for cycling:

Would be rad if you published the links you referenced somewhere? then the listeners at home could follow more closely. Have enjoyed the podcast… keep up the great work!

All the links to things we talked about should be in the podcast post, but if there’s anything we’ve missed, give us a shout and I’ll add it in!
