Watch the 2015 GP de Plouay World Cup LIVE!
It’s the last round of the 2015 women’s Road Cycling World Cup, the GP de Plouay-Bretagne, on 29th August – and we can watch the last part of it live!
This is always a really exciting race, and part of a fantastic four day festival of cycling, the 4 Jours de Plouay. The route is 4 circuits of a 26.9 circuit (in red) and then a final run of 13.9k, the same course without the northern loop – 121.5k in total. You can read more about the course on Velofocus’ 2014 preview, as it’s the same. There’s a provisional startlist on the website, but that’s likely to change.
The race starts at 13:40 Euro CEST (12:40 UK BST; 7:40am N American EST; 9:40pm Aussie AEDT) but the tv starts later on France 3 (stream here, geo-restricted) and Eurosport at 15:30 CEST (2:30 BST, 9:30am EST, 11:30pm AEDT) and international Eurosport (not British)… and best yet for non-French people, on the UCI website – here’s the stream!
If THIS is blocked for you, or you want to watch the French stream, try Tunnelbear or another VPN solution (paying for Witopia is my recommendation) – if you use Tunnelbear, set yourself to somewhere like the UK, & then turn the TB off as soon as the stream starts, to save your allocation (use at your own risk of course)
To follow the first part of the race until the tv starts, I recommend twitter. The 4 Jours has a twitter here, and of course I’ve updated my live race tweeting list. The official hashag is #GPP15 for other updates too. The festival also has a great facebook, and they’ll put up videos on their Plouay TV page too.
Want more? Previews from ORICA-AIS and on Velorooms, and here’s what happened last year. Of course I’ll be back after the race with links to videos, photos, articles and more, so if you see anything you like, leave me a comment or ping me on twitter.
