Stage 2 was one of those typically Giro “Classics” stage, with a whole rang of short-sharp hills and tough descents towards the end of the race. There were a couple of early escape attempts, and then towards the end, Carlee Taylor and Flavia Oliveira broke away together, only to be chased by an elite group that could very well be the final GC, from the quality of riders…. It wasn’t good for everyone out there though – huge healing vibes to Audrey Cordon and Anna Sanchis Chafer, who both broke their collarbones, and other riders who crashed

Love her commentary on the video of the crash, too:
Insert R.Kelly lyrics and my fav song: "I believe I can fly" and you have this… #myday #immediatelyregretthatdecision devo to be in a break and then have a gap solo only for this to happen in the last 25km. but on a positive note Im in the climbers jersey of the #girorosa2015 and anyone who needs some gardening done just ask #didsomeweeding #lottosoudal @lazersport
but it has a happy ending!
Not the greatest end result for me today with some bad luck puncturing in the last 10km, BUT I learnt so much once again!! I'm so happy just to be here, racing with the best professional women cyclists in the world & with such great teammates & staff! This experience is priceless! Now to deal with some heat stroke & get ready to smash my last mini Giro stage out tomorrow! Haha 👊👊 #thebigpicture #GiroRosa2015 #stillsmiling

These made me grin
Today at the #girorosa2015 I was… 1. Offered a seat in the team car 2. Properly adrenalized thanks to Danny's driving 3. Tingling in the tummy with adrenaline dial cranked to eleven in the last kilometers thanks to @evelyn_stevens and @meganguarnier being in the front group of 8. Talk about my nerves and being all jittery and tense in the passenger seat. Ugh. Oh, and 4. obviously not seeing the sprint from car and then we pulled up and heard an Italian accent over the radio saying "United States National Champion…" *and the car goes wild*. So that was a pretty good day. 🙂 This is Iwan from Boels-Dolmans. He was pretty stoked about the win! #viewfromthecar

I’ll add more things in as I see them – and of course, tell me in the comments or on twitter if you see things too. If you want to follow the Giro Rosa live, or watch the tv highlights as they happen, here’s my guide.
