Video from the 2014 Ronde van Drenthe World Cup

Oh Drenthe!  I love this area, I love the week of Drenthe racing, and I absolutely love that we got to see the last 40km of the Boels Rental Ronde van Drenthe, the first Road World Cup of the season.  I have written my usual gushing race report over on Podium Café, but if you want videos, I’m here to help – with links to photos and race reports below, and more to come next week, once riders’ blogs are up.

UPDATE!  We’ll be talking about this in our podcast this week, but you should definitely read Chloe Hosking’s race report – it’s one of the best things I’ve read for giving insight into how teams prepare for races, and what it’s like in the thick of the moment.

First, the short UCI highlights video:

UPDATE! 26 minutes from the UCI, in English, with lots of rider interviews and thing

And this is the full last 25 minutes of the race, in Dutch:

(This may not be visible in the USA because some one has bought the rights, but adding Hola and Tunnelbear set to the UK should help you out…)

3 minutes video from NOS Sport (Dutch only) and Rabo-Liv‘s video from their perspective

Rabo also have 3 video interviews after the race with Thalita de Jong, Iris Slappendel and DS Koos Moerenhout (all in Dutch)

If you want to know what it’s like to watch the race from the roadside, here’s Manfred van Rhee’s video

Audio interviews with a delighted-sounding Lizzie Armitstead in English and Anna van der Breggen in Dutch; great photos from Velofocus, who was roadside on the cobbles and VAM; and more photos on and Cyclingnews; and race reports from ORICA-AIS, with lots of photos and how Loes Gunnewijk was let down by neutral service; Rabobank-LivLiv-Shimano; and of course, from Boels-Dolmans, in Dutch and in English.
